CoC implements a diverse portfolio of projects addressing both urgent humanitarian needs and long-term development priorities across East Africa. Our core operations span four main pillars: delivering emergency health, nutrition, and water services to populations in crisis; supporting long-term development through girls' education, youth vocational training, and comprehensive disability inclusion; promoting social cohesion via community peace committees; and helping families adapt to environmental challenges through climate-smart agriculture and resource management.

Health & Nutrition
We implement emergency health, nutrition, and WASH projects to support displaced and vulnerable populations in crisis. Our on-the-ground teams conduct vital immunization outreach to reach zero-dose children and administer critical nutrition screenings. We also ensure emergency water supply distribution and establish safe spaces to deliver dedicated medical and psychological referrals for survivors of gender-based violence.

Emergency Support
CoC delivers urgent, life-saving humanitarian aid when disaster or severe conflict strikes. We prioritize rapid response mechanisms to distribute essential emergency supplies and restore reliable access to clean water through targeted WASH interventions. By coordinating with local community leaders, we ensure displaced families receive immediate relief, ongoing nutrition assessments, and access to continuous emergency education programs.

Education & Learning
We support vulnerable girls with monthly stipends and essential school materials to ensure they remain in the classroom. For youth and young adults, we provide comprehensive vocational skills training and dedicated business incubation programs. Furthermore, we offer start-up capital for micro-enterprises to help young entrepreneurs build urban resilience and secure sustainable livelihoods for their communities.

Rehabilitation programs
We run comprehensive community-based rehabilitation programs to directly support persons with disabilities across multiple regions. Our interventions provide essential assistive devices, mobility aids, and specialized therapy services tailored to individual needs. Additionally, we advocate for inclusive education and deliver hands-on training for caregivers to ensure continuous support and integration within their local communities.

Disability Support
Our disability support initiatives focus on restoring mobility, independence, and dignity to vulnerable individuals. We work closely with families and local health networks to distribute mobility aids and provide necessary physical rehabilitation. By equipping caregivers with practical skills and resources, we foster inclusive environments where persons with disabilities can actively participate in community and family life.

Social Cohesion
Building sustainable peace requires direct engagement and structured dialogue among community members. CoC actively supports localized peacebuilding efforts by creating safe spaces for civic engagement and conflict resolution. Through continuous collaboration with local leaders and dedicated youth ambassadors, we help fragmented communities address underlying tensions, restore social harmony, and prevent the escalation of future disputes.

Community Peace Committees
We promote social cohesion by establishing community peace committees and facilitating active dialogue platforms in regions affected by division. Our programs train youth peace ambassadors to mediate conflicts and counter harmful narratives at the grassroots level. We also actively link these community peace structures with local government entities to build mutual trust, enhance accountability, and ensure long-term stability.

Climate-smart Livelihood
We help communities adapt to evolving environmental challenges by developing and supporting climate-smart livelihood initiatives. Our on-the-ground teams provide extensive training in climate-smart agriculture, water conservation techniques, and effective natural resource management. We also promote green entrepreneurship for youth to ensure communities can maintain sustainable income streams despite unpredictable environmental conditions.

Climate Adaptation
As climate change increasingly threatens traditional ways of living, CoC prioritizes environmental resilience and disaster mitigation. We implement targeted interventions to protect vulnerable families from environmental shocks, including severe flooding and droughts. By introducing adaptive agricultural practices and comprehensive water management strategies, we empower rural communities to safeguard their food security and natural resources.
